We want to welcome Mark Thompson as the Short Term Missions Coordinator for the Western US Region starting July 14th 2008. He is replacing Andi Goetz who has served effectively as STM Coordinator for the last two years. Mark recently resigned from Butler Church in Fresno California where he served as the Lead Pastor of English Ministries since 2004. He planted ShoreLife Community Church in Santa Cruz County and served as founding and Lead Pastor on the Central Coast/Bay Area from 1997-2004. Mark's vision as STM Coordinator is to create a connection between short term and long term missions. "There's a certain excitement in short term missions, but our great hope is that people will be stimulated onto long term missions. That's the vision that we want to cast."
