In a February prayer request, we asked for prayer for a believer named “Joe”. Joe was hospitalized by a severe beating from his dad and others, so he was not able to attend a resourcing opportunity to meet with other believers. His mom, brother and sister were also beaten, but not as badly.
Jesus warned us in Luke 12:53 - "They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”
Please pray for Joe and his family. He is being tested, but he has said that he is ready to give his life for his faith. Pray that our Father would give him strength, healing, and courage despite the persecution and opposition he is facing. Pray for his protection and for the Father to fill him with love for his enemies. Pray the same for his family as well as for his dad to encounter the living God.

Freedom from Persecution |
|
We were informed that one of our teammates (a national leader we’ll call Joe) in a restricted country is in an extremely difficult situation and is need of urgent, unrelenting prayer. He led his mom, brother and sister to Christ last summer, but his dad beat them and kicked them out. Now the dad is threatening to turn them in to police and to tell police about his son’s ministry activities—unless they return to their “old life.” He has also threatened to kill the mom, sister and brother if Joe leaves for any length of time, which is needed in his role. Pray for the persecuted, that God would fill them with peace, that he would use them despite all this, and that they would stand firm, AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THEIR GOD, whatever happens. Pray also for the persecutor, that Jesus would move in power and visit him in a dream, like he is doing with so many others these days.
