Mexican Missionaries |

Fourteen Mexican missionaries knelt in the grass as they were commissioned to head into the unreached areas of Oaxaca, Mexico. This team of nine members and five trainees had just completed a five-day church planting seminar that was taught by MBMSI missionary Anne Thiessen. As she laid hands on these missionaries, Anne felt that this was an answer to her prayers that God would raise up Mexican people as missionaries to reach out to other people in Mexico.

There were many beggars in the market place. Some were blind, others had no fingers, and some were paralyzed. They had all come to this tourist market in efforts to elicit some compassion from those who came to shop, hoping to be given some food or money. But many tourists walked past, stumbling over beggars, as they tried to avoid eye contact.

The TREK team in Ukraine was looking forward to the three-day youth camp that they had been planning and preparing to run. They asked God to bring kids to the camp and to change kids’ hearts during those few days. They also prayed that the camp would be fun for the kids!
