God of Peace Print
It was during wartime that Karim*, who was a soldier, began to question his belief in Allah. He had witnessed the brutal murder of a woman and wondered how killing innocent bystanders could be justified by Muslims. Karim decided to read through the Koran, the Muslim holy book, and was surprised to find that the killing of “infidels” was allowed.

Karim started searching for different ways of believing and living. During a visit to Spain, he entered a Catholic church and asked the priest for a Bible. The priest asked Karim if he was a Muslim, and he replied that he was. The priest told Karim that he was unable to give Bibles to Muslims and asked him to leave. Karim prayed to God and asked, “Why am I rejected in your house?” He felt God telling him that He was not in that house.

Several weeks later, Karim stopped to assist several women who were stranded beside the highway with car trouble. He noticed that one of the women was wearing a chain with a cross on it around her neck so he asked her if she was a Christian. When she said yes, Karim asked the woman in she knew where he could find a Bible. This woman gave Karim her Bible!

As Karim read through the New Testament, he was impacted by Jesus’ call to love our enemies and forgive those who persecute us. Karim was drawn by the love and peace of Christ and he chose to follow Jesus.

Today Karim’s whole family is following Jesus. Praise God! Pray that many more Muslims will discover the peace, love, and hope of Jesus Christ. Pray for the expansion of God’s Kingdom among all nations of the world!

“I will remove the battle chariots from Israel and the warhorses from Jerusalem. I will destroy all the weapons used in battle, and your King will bring peace to the nations. His realm will stretch from sea to sea and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.” – Zechariah 9:9-10
