John 4:25 The [Samaritan woman at the well] said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us." 26Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am He." 28So the woman left her waterpot, and went into the city and said to the men, 29"Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done; is this not the Christ?" 30They went out of the city, and were coming to Him.

Sane comes from a poor village in Northern Thailand and moved in with her Christian niece-in-law in Phuket in order to make a better living. During her first week in Phuket she attended a prayer meeting hosted by Rob and Judy Griffioen, long term missionaries for Operation 2nd Wave in Southern Thailand. That night, she saw the loving light of God. She met Him for the first time and without hesitation committed her life to Him, eagerly soaking up His presence. Clearly recognizing God's sovereign power over darkness, she asked the Pastor, not to toss out nor to re-sell, but to destroy her amulet pin, a small satanic/pagan charm used to ward off evil and bring protection and good fortune.

A month later she returned to her village to aid with the coming birth of her granddaughter and God came with her. His light and presence moved through the town as she shared about how she met the one true God who knows everything about her and still loves her. Her neighbors quickly became interested in this God and many of them are praying to commit their lives to Him.

All it took to penetrate the darkness of this little grass-roofed village was one very new believer with her Bible and the bright light of God shining powerfully!
