Ministry Update - Dale Regier Print E-mail

Friends:

We sincerely appreciate your prayers and support.  We have experienced the power of prayer in various situations during our journey with MBMSI.  Thank you!

PRAY:

Urgent on our hearts is our Canada immigration application.  As you know, we can only get a limited number of work permits.  Without them, we can not stay in Canada working with MBMSI.  Our current one expires on June 30.  Upon advise from our immigration lawyer, we applied for immigration a year ago last January.  This process would allow us to live and work in Canada indefinitely - sort of like a green card.  We are praying that our application is approved by the end of May.  That gives us only 30 days to complete the immigration process.  If no approval is received, we will pursue another work permit (cost will be an additional $1,500).  Please pray with us - we are concerned about this and believe there has been/is spiritual warfare around this application.

PRAISE:
Jordan is well adjusted and happy in school, with voice and keyboard lessons.  He has several friends and enjoys youth group at church.  Praise God for His provisions for Jordan.  These were all concerns when we were in Asia.  But God has blessed us in this reassignment to Canada.

Teresa continues to be challenged and enjoys her work at two medical clinics in Washington state.  Praise God for his provisions of Christian Doctor co-workers.  She is planning another trip to Asia, probably this fall with MBMSI.  Her trip last October was tiring but rewarding for her and for the villagers that received medical training from a Christ-like perspective.

Dale and the MBMSI finance team have finally crawled on top of the pile of urgent finance tasks!  We are now in a position to run finance from a proactive position - anticipating and planning for events.  Even so, this organization is God's, and he defies being put in a box!  (And accountants are trained to put EVERYTHING in a box!)  So He continually reminds us that MBMSI goes where He leads and finance just has to deal with it!  It is a challenging but rewarding place to be - and I love it.

Thanks for your prayers!  We think of you often.
