I just returned from visiting several Asian countries where we either have teams or are discerning the placement of new teams. In one of these "closed access" countries I was invited to do some training with "underground" church leaders. One of the pastors who was present has already planted a church although he has been a Christian for less than two years.
He is also a school principal and he is using that position for the
Kingdom. He was assisted into the room by his wife - after he shared
his story I understood why.
This pastor almost died in a car accident 2 months ago when a truck hit his car. His brother died in the seat beside him. The doctors said the pastor would be paralyzed from the neck down. As he lay on the hospital bed he was feeling very defeated and wanted to give up his faith. On his tenth day in the hospital his wife asked his family to leave the room. She laid her hands on his chest and cried out to God for healing in the name of Jesus. He felt new faith fill him. His catheter began giving him tremendous pain and he asked that it be removed. That day he was able to relieve himself unaided and the doctors said it was a miracle. He slowly regained feeling in his legs. The doctors encouraged him to buy a cane for walking, but he said he would not need it because God was healing him and he would soon walk again- something he is now doing. Today, one arm remains limp with only slight feeling in two fingers. He wept as he described his battle for faith and healing! He declared that all this is for God's glory!
Jesus said, "I will build my church and the gates of hell will not overcome it." (Mt 16:18) Jesus is training "overcomers" around the world who are facing challenges to their faith and overcoming them. He has promised that those who "overcome" will sit with him on his throne (Rev. 3:21) when every battle of faith will be rewarded.

Ministry Highlights
- Two AIDS babies living at the Abundant Life Home in Chon Buri, Thailand (Team 2000) experienced miraculous healing this past week from the HIV virus after much prayer. A Thai woman assisting at the orphanage had spent the last 10 days fasting for the healing of these babies. She had told God that if he healed them she would convert from being a Buddhist to follow Christ. The evening after the doctor confirmed these babies were free of HIV, this woman gave her life to Jesus!

- Please pray for our new church planting team in Southern Thailand as they learn Thai and adapt to a new culture.
- Please pray for an upcoming visit that MBMS International staff will have with the Laos government. Pray for favor and permission to register our churches and train pastors.
- Pray for team members for new church planting teams to locations in least reached countries in Asia - ask the "Lord of the harvest" to send them to us!
