Thailand Update: God's Audible Voice Print E-mail
Ever wondered what the voice of God really sounds like? Recently, the theme around our churches and orphanage seems to be that God is choosing to speak in an audible voice! While it has been fun to teach on the voice and will of God with our new believers, it is always better when the REAL DEAL shows up! Here are three stories from the lives of new believers in our churches:

1)Take Care of Them
Taay, our ALH (Abundant Life Home) nanny who came to Christ the day our two HIV+ babies were healed...has been a follower of Jesus for almost two months. Recently, Taay met up with an old friend and his wife. Both "Wat" and "Saeng" are now HIV+, and showed up at our orphanage one day when they had no money to live or buy food. They had heard that our church loves and accepts people with HIV, and they had no where else to turn.

Our orphanage and church and Thai members, generously gave to this young couple and their three year old son....who may be HIV+ too. When Taay heard that this old friend was now struggling with HIV, she heard a voice say to her: "I want you to help me take care of them till the end."

Taay looked all around her and asked our other Thai members there if they had heard that voice. No one else heard it, and Taay knew instantly it was the voice of God. Her life was changed by hearing His voice, and she went on to open her small cubicle of a home to the family when they were evicted from their home.

2) He Speaks in Dreams
"Diii" is a young father and the brother in law to our ALH nanny, Daan. Daan came to Christ a couple of months ago on her very first Sunday ever in a church. She had worked for ALH for two weeks and on Friday had decided to quit working for us because she was too fearful she would get infected with HIV from our children. We asked her to wait two days and come to church first on Sunday.

Since receiving Christ that day, Daan began to fast and pray for her family to come to Jesus too. She fasted for nine days for their salvation. Last Sunday morning, Diii came to Daan and told her he had woken up early that morning and prayed to receive Christ. Daan was stunned!! "Who did you pray with or who taught you?" she asked.

Diii explained that during the night, God had appeared to him in his dream, and Diii had heard the voice of God say to him "Come to me and believe in me. There is no where to hide that my love won't find you." Please pray with us for the rest of Daan's family to come to Christ!

3) Child...Get up!
This week the ALH moved from our townhouse to a house down the street. P' Ganiga worked feverishly packing and lifting and cleaning for two days. The next day, she woke up and could not move! Her back was frozen and in excruciating pain. She could not roll from side to side or sit up. She asked the boys to get their own breakfast and the night nanny to stay on. The pain made it hurt to even breathe.

When "Daan" the day nanny showed up, Daan started to lay hands on P' Ganiga and pray for her. Pretty soon another lady from church came by and laid hands on her back and began to pray for healing. At one point the room began to spin for P' Ganiga and she said, "I know the bible teaches us not to kill....but are we allowed to kill ourselves? I hope so because I can't go on."

Then an audible voice said to Ganiga, "Child, get up and walk." She thought for a moment and realized that the voice did NOT say, "Get up and TRY to walk" but rather to walk. She sat up, then stood up and then began to walk! She began to sob as her two friends kept asking in amazement, "WHAT HAPPENED??" P' Ganiga told them she had heard the voice of God speak to her and she obeyed. For a long time, P' Ganiga just stood and cried and cried as she was overcome that God loved her enough to speak to her.
