Country Overview (view map ): Lithuania has a population of approximately 3.6 million people. MBMSI's primary area of mission in Lithuania is leadership training, social
ministry to those struggling with disabilities and youth from difficult homes (Good News Club) & church
planting within the Lithuania Christian College.
Assignment Description: The team will be working primarily with children and youth from ages 7 - 18. One of the social ministries that Christoph & Antonia are involved in is called the Good News Club. Their hearts break for the children of Lithuania. Many of them come from homes where the parents struggle with alcohol abuse and the children are neglected. The team will focus on loving these children and youth and providing a safe place for them to be during the summer months when school is out.

A general outline of the ministry assignment involves 4 different types of camps:
- Ten day work camp (construction) at Ginkunai Christian Center with teenagers from Good News Club and the local Free Christian Church.
- Two day canoe trip with the teens from the Good News Club.
- One week fine arts camp with the children from the Good News Club.
- Three day camp with children from farmsteads near the Latvian border.
On the Sundays during your time in Lithuania you will visit two churches in the area around Ginkunai and will participate in the worship service - sharing testimonies, sing songs, dramas, etc.
