Country Overview (view map ): MBMSI has reentered Mexico (particularly Guadalajara) with a strong
missionary presence with a two fold purpose. The Beltrans lead a
church planting team focusing on an unreached and seemingly
uninterested group – the middle class. The Godards lead the
Matthew team in youth discipleship and training Latin American
missionaries for the nations.
Assignment Description: The team will begin their assignment with an orientation to Guadalajara with the Godards and the Matthew Team. It is important to understand the culture that you are living and serving in for 5 weeks. The majority of the assignment revolves around relationship building with children, adults and families through kid's camps, sports camps and teaching English.

The ministry assignment overview for the 2007 ACTION team is below, this year's team will have similar opportunities to serve in Guadalajara.
July 8-11 ACTION arrives during the week of our Summer Kids' Camp at the RETO church plant, so we will do a few days of orientation with them, and might get them involved to a limited extent with the Kids' Camp.
July 13-18 English Camp- the South Abbotsford team will come to do the teaching, and the ACTION team will help with planning games, sports, activities, and even some crafts...and basically being their to help people practice English and build relationships.
July 21-25 Sports Camp- right now the idea is to do a week-long soccer tournament in the neighborhood of one of our other churches (Pastor Jorge). We will continue working with him on the details, and figuring out the specific role of the ACTION team.
July 28-31 Summer Camp- there is a possibility of running a Children's Camp at the same church where the soccer tournament took place. This would be a great opportunity for consistency with some of the same kids. We'll continue working on the details.
Aug 1-3 Youth Camp- we want to do a youth retreat with the youth from our 4 churches. ACTION might be able to help plan some games and activities for this, as well as participating with the youth.
Aug 4-9 We need to confirm some other activities for them to do during this time, as well as a good debrief time together.
