My First DMI Experience |

DMI Tanzania October 2007,
At the closing ceremony of our DMI mission trip in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, many people kept saying to me, "God will bless you for your work here". I
kept thinking I couldn't feel more blessed. My heart was filled to overflowing with joy from the two weeks I had been given as a precious gift.
Every morning our team of missionaries would assemble for praise
and worship, prayer and devotions. All my fellow missionaries were
African and when they sang I would think I was in the midst of a
heavenly choir! Also, what greater gift could I have received than
seeing joy on the faces of the people of Dar es Salaam when they
realized there was a way out of their darkness - to know how blessed
and pleased they were that I came all the way from Canada to tell them
of God's great love for them! To declare that the name of Jesus is more
powerful than any other name and that death has no hold on those who
receive Jesus as Saviour. As a team we saw 4,288 people open their
hearts to the Lord!!I want to encourage anyone who feels God may be
leading them to join a DMI mission trip to be obedient to His call. You
may go to serve others but the blessing you will receive will be more
than your heart can contain.
