Thanks for praying. I’m sure many of you are praying for safety too. Thank again. Thank you.

Leona and the kids got hit from behind this morning on the way to school and got pushed into the car ahead of them. I got the call at 7:30 and borrowed a car from a lady from church to help out. Well, things like this don’t get resolved quickly so about 2 hours later we had finished talking with the other two drivers, the police, insurance companies, etc.

Leona and Cambria seem to be fine, but Trenton’s neck hurts a bit. So Leona took Cambria to school with the borrowed car and I took Trenton to the hospital in our wounded car, with its tail between its legs - or backdoor creased between its wheels! Amazingly the brake lights and signal lights worked. It took a couple hours at the hospital. Trenton seems to be fine as nothing showed up on the x-rays. But we will watch him closely for the next couple of weeks.

We are so thankful that it wasn’t worse and that we weren’t at fault. Pray that out of this God will receive glory and that somehow we can be a witness for Christ to the people involved. The man who hit our car will probably come by tonight to apologize again.

This afternoon I took the report from the doctor to the police station and went to the auto body shop and also talked to the other guy’s insurance company several times. We’ll get a courtesy car tomorrow.

It looks like our car has finally bit the dust. We were about ready to buy a different car in Feb. and in Japan tomorrow is Feb.1. Our car has been a marvel to many here with 300,000 kms being 4-5 times the number of kms of most older cars here. Our church people have been pushing us to get a newer vehicle. Looks like they will get their way!

Pray for us as we work out a settlement tomorrow. Would be nice to get a little money toward the next vehicle, but we don’t have our hopes up too high. But then again it would be like our Loving Father to give us something for something so very old and well used!

We are thankful again for protection and for your prayers!
