Dear praying friend,

Thanks to those of you who have been praying about a different vehicle for us. Though the other guy’s insurance company said our van was a write-off and only wanted to give us a pittance, we were able to discuss it and get about one-half of what it would have cost to repair the old one! Within a couple of days we found a mini-van that met our needs. It is 4 years old, has 57,000 kms or 35,000 miles, seats 8, etc. For those who are interested, it is a Toyota, Estima, the second generation of the Previa. We will get it in a week or so. In the mean time, a family in our church has let us use their second car – seeing the insurance company wanted us to return the courtesy car. God has been good to us again. Trenton's neck is doing much better. Thanks for praying.

This morning a man and his girl friend came to church. He is 27 and has cancer. Humanly speaking his chances don’t look good. But we shared with him briefly after the service and asked what he wanted Jesus to do for him. Then we laid hands on him and prayed for his healing. Join us in praying that God will glorify Himself through this man and lead him to salvation!

A lady in our church who had visited the hospital because she was sick, met the girlfriend and found out about her sick friend. So she invited them to church. Pastor Reg Toews from the Greendale MB Church in Chilliwack, BC was with us and preached on the topic of God-given courage. The couple stayed for lunch. Both of them need Jesus and His people badly. They are a lot like some of the people Jesus spent time with.

Today was Mrs. Aoyama’s last Sunday with us. We asked her to share in the service. Two of her friends, whom she had the courage to invite, came to church the first time and heard her share! The farewell after lunch was filled with tears and laughter. In true Japanese fashion, each person said a few words. Many people shared how she had impacted their lives, even in the short time since she became a follower of Jesus. Pray for Mrs. Aoyoma and her husband as they move to another city because of his job transfer.

Thanks again for your prayers and encouragement!

Expecting more from God,
