Dear praying friend,

Thanks for praying. We have sensed God’s sustaining grace and help in recent weeks.

Maegawas. Mrs. Maegawa is feeling the impact of the loss of her mother. Then this week Mr. Maegawa left for Belgium. He has been transferred there and will live there alone until the end of summer when his family will move there too. We will miss them for the next 3 years. I was able to spend a few hours with them as a couple to help them begin to plan how they would remain close as a couple and family during this period of living separately. It proved to be a very valuable time and they greatly appreciated it. Pray for God’s special grace to sustain them and help them to grow in this time.

TREK Team. These 6 young ladies are adjusting well. So far (wink!) we love their attitudes. They are positive, open, eager to listen and learn, willing to serve, perceptive, and diligent. We sense a real desire to learn from God and people. Thanks for praying for their adjustment and growth.

We prepared fliers to advertise the new programs – ESL classes, English Bible Lessons, etc. - we want them to teach and lead. So far the response has been minimal and a bit discouraging. Please that God will lead others to respond, especially those who are seeking for truth and whose hearts God has begun to prepare.

Future workers. We need another ESL teacher to teach in MB churches in Osaka beginning this fall. We need this person to apply in the next couple of weeks. We are also asking God to provide long-term workers who will join us in the challenging privilege of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and planting more churches.

Baptism. We are planning a baptism for April 13. Mr. N. is looking forward to this and has grown significantly during the last couple of months. Please pray for greater spiritual growth, assurance, and the courage to live for Jesus in his daily life.

Meetings in Canada. On Sunday (March 30) afternoon I will fly to Abbotsford for a Country Team Leaders Summit. MBMS International is gathering missionary leaders from various countries to spend time in prayer, discussion, learning, and strategizing. Leona and Trenton are already in Canada seeing Trenton’s specialist. So Leona and I will attend the summit together. Pray for a meaningful and encouraging time and for positive forward-looking discussions and plans. Pray also for safety for all who are traveling there and back.

We are grateful for your prayers, support, and encouragement. May God bless you!
