What do I do with my language partner?
After spending countless hours in the classroom learning French grammar, one needs to practice what you have learned. Hence, that is where a language partner comes in.
Typically Jean Marc and I (Blaine) meet once a week in Paris for about 2 hours. Jean Marc is excellent. As soon as I make a mistake in our conversation he immediately corrects not only my pronunciation but the grammatically correct way to say it as well. The two museums we have visited so far have been first rate.
Recently we saw the temporary Babylon exhibit at the Louvre. It was fascinating hearing Jean Marc’s explanations about the paintings of the tower of Babel. This time period is his specialty.
We usually finish our time together in a restaurant where I can open my books and get some extra help understanding some of those exceptions to the rules of French grammar.
Thank you for continuing to pray for us.
