Chinese ALPHA Comes To The Life Centre!
Last week, Wicki, a new believer from The Life Centre, picked up her first passport from the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok. At 37 years of age and after 24 years of being an illegal alien in Thailand, God has worked many miracles on her behalf. Sadly for us, Wicki has been told that she has only one year before she must return to China. With this news in hand, Wicki is wasting no time! Since becoming a believer a year and a half ago, God has given Wicki the ministry of loving many lonely Chinese students at our local
University. Yesterday, Wicki hosted 18 Chinese students to our 1st Chinese ALPHA group. All the students attending are Buddhist. However, after they had an opportunity to watch their first ALPHA video, they were very impressed by Nicky Gumbal and his questions about the meaning of life. At the end they asked, “When can we meet again? We want to hear more about who Jesus is!”
Heavenly Father, Jesus said, “I have come to that they may have life, life to the full”. We ask that you would reveal the life and love of Jesus to this group of seekers. Thank you God for revealing yourself to us personally through your Son.
80 Pirates, An MEI Team & Thai Leadership Course Pack Out TLC!
“Shiver me timbers!” The Jolly Roger was flying and TLC was packed with wee little pirates for our “Summer English Camp.” The team of students from MEI school in Abbotsford ran an incredible camp and shared the love of Jesus with 80 kids! Our Thai leaders-in-training, were also excellent camp counselors. As camp director, I had to handle any mutinies from the rapscallions who invaded TLC. We can’t wait to see how God is going to impact all of these families. Lord, we ask that each child who heard about your gift of Salvation would respond with faith to your love. Amen. Thank you for your generous financial support and prayers!
