Happy Canada Day to all of our Canadian friends and family!!
We must start this update by thanking the MANY of you who responded with such enthusiasm to our last update! It's amazing what the mention of "the winner will receive a prize" does for the reader. :) So, without further ado, (drumroll please...the winner is... Patty White. Way to go Patty! The winning answers are......#1 is a mangosteen, and #2 is a cicada. That was so fun for us too! (Oh, and if you're wondering what the prize is, that is classified information, but it will be in the mail later this week!) Thanks again to all who responded - we will definitely do something like this again....stay tuned!
We are back from a great family vacation. We relaxed, played, swam, read, explored, ran, rode bikes, ate ice cream, and ate some more! After our vacation, we went to the annual OMF in Central Thailand. Our kids enjoyed the kids program that was put on for them, and we enjoyed interacting with many other Thailand missionaries, as well as hearing from a very inspirational speaker - Marjory Gibson, from Auckland, New Zealand. We returned home tired, grateful & very full!
In the next two weeks we will be making the final preparations for an MBMSI short-term team that is coming to work alongside us for about a month. They are a group of young adults coming to us from Ontario and Quebec. We appreciate your prayers as we host, mentor, and work alongside these young adults!
Now that we have our kid's transcripts, we have been in touch with a couple local schools about enrolling the kids (they would start sometime this month), but still no news back yet...
Please pray with us for Bune-cheung and his wife Ray-wah-dee. They are friends of ours who are desperately in need of work. We are trusting God's promises for them.
Thank you again for your faithfulness to us!
Greg, Becky, Caleb, Emma, Luke, and Silas
