
Luke, and his wife Joanne, were married on March 15, 2008, in Whitewater, Kansas. They were friends in college, but after graduation it was seven years before they saw each other again. Luke was in Wichita doing mobilization for TREK and decided to take joanne out for coffee to "reconnect." A year and a half later they were married.
Luke currently serves as the TREK Director for MBMSI. He first received a call to missions at a Campus Crusade for Christ conference in December of 2000. Luke joined the TREK program in the fall of 2002 and served as team leader for a TREK team in Edmonton, AB, where they served a healthy church plant. He served as a TREK intern the following year and in the fall of 2006, Luke became the full time TREK director.
Luke grew up in Mitchell, South Dakota. In 2000 he graduated from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas. He has traveled to Western Europe, Belize, India, DR Congo, and much of the U.S.A. He has a passion for speaking and the training, equipping, and development of young adult leaders.
Luke has a BA in Chemistry and Bible from Tabor College and an MA from ACTS Seminaries in Langley, BC. Luke lives and works in Abbotsford, BC, the training site for all TREK participants.
