YOUR CALLING
Mission begins with God. The one who created human-kind is constantly reaching out in love to the peoples of the earth. He desires to draw every person to him.
Jesus calls us, his disciples, into an intimate friendship, and within this friendship, speaks to us regarding his mission to reach the lost. In his grace, he says to us: “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” (John 20:21)
If you sense the Spirit of God prompting you to participate in Jesus’ mission to the unreached, test this calling with those who are walking with you. This group may include family, friends, a home group, the larger church body, mentors or your pastor.

Currently, we are working in approximately 30 countries on five continents. Our vision is “holistic church planting that transforms communities among the least reached.” We believe that God transforms this world through the life and witness of church communities centered on Jesus.
THE CANDIDATE PROCESS
Our discernment process will include informal conversation, application and reference forms, assessment (spiritual maturity, physical and emotional health, cross-cultural giftedness, personality style), and formal interviews.
Included in the discernment process is a one-week adventure experience which focuses on team building and ministry experience. We want you to understand our vision and values, come to know our team, and sense what God is doing through MBMSI.
This one-week adventure will be followed by a semester in British Columbia which integrates academic study, mentoring and real life training. Being a missionary is a life long learning process. We want to equip and resource you for cross-cultural service.
