Location: Western Canada - International Office Abbotsford, BC

Biography:  Sam and his wife Heidi live on the West Coast of Canada in Abbotsford BC. They have two adorable kids, Anastasia (8) and Zachary (6). As summer weather slowly approaches you will often find Sam with his kids, along with most of the neighborhood, playing ball hockey on the street. Zachary is convinced he looks like Roberto Loungo in goal (Google that name if you don’t know it). Our family loves Friday-Thai-Food-Takeout-Nights, which is surprisingly enjoyed equally by each one. Sam serves on the MBMSI Mobilization Team. He loves using his gift of encouragement to move people towards reaching the incredible potential that God designed for them. He is growingly convinced that God summons all His kids with a beautiful call – a call that has us all play our part in God’s global mission.

Biography cont'd:  I have been on staff at MBMSI in a variety of roles for the past 10 years. I started in 1998, as Heidi and I moved to the west coast of Canada to help out with the TREK program (10 month's long). TREK is a great vehicle of discipleship and leadership training. I went on to lead the program for four years, which was an honor and joy. There still remains to me, no folks on earth who inspire me more than TREKers.

Currently I serve as a part of the Mobilization Team. I have the great privilege of raising up prayer, people and funds for global church planting. I enjoy preaching and teaching in worship services, mission events, college campuses and youth settings across North America. I oversee short term mission programs serving local churches by preparing mission individuals and teams for cross-cultural service.
