MBMS International’s church planting efforts are a response to God’s call to participate in sharing the gospel among the least reached. Our strategy is to form international church planting teams that reflect the values of Jesus as they start churches. Holistic church planting means that these teams will lead people to Jesus and form communities of followers around Him in such a way that they experience growth and truth in all areas of their lives.
MBMSI Church Planting Values:
1. We believe the most effective way to transform communities is to plant churches that bring His Kingdom to the least reached. (Luke 4:18)
2. We believe church planting is rooted in God’s salvation story and the model of the New Testament church. Jesus’ incarnation and sacrificial service is our model for ministry.
3. We believe the Holy Spirit creates, shapes and empowers church planting efforts.
4. We believe in church planting through teams walking in the gifts and fruit of the Spirit. (Phil. 2:5-8; Gal. 5:22-23; Eph 4:11-15)
5. We believe in equipping and empowering national leadership that is connected to the global MB family working together in covenant relationships.
