Dear Friends!

We want to wish each of you a wonderful Valentines Day weekend. Here in Austria we give flowers for Valentines Day but seldom cards.

Thank you for your prayers!

In Jan. we asked you to pray for the Linz church. It was such a joy for us to be with the leaders and their wives, for a 24 hour prayer and fasting time. God is helping them to work through the past and giving them new vision for the future.

We asked for prayer for a good balance in our work load. To be totally honest with you, we have had some very discouraging times in the past month. There seems to be such a lack of interest in God and anything spiritual here around us. The Book Table in Dec. was such an encouragement but not one visitor came to church from the many, many invitations that we gave out. Everyone seems to be so busy in their own lives that any extra spiritual input evenings or weekends just are not encouraged. We ask God, what is it that you want of us? How can we reach our Austrian people? How can we encourage the Christians? You can pray with us that we might not grow tired and give up but that we might really sense what God wants from us.

Conny, is a young woman who we have been mentoring. She has come out of a past of drugs and theft. She has been with a Christian family since last June. Praise God with us for the stability that she has gained in these months. She just got her drivers license back, she is taking a Bible Course in the church on Wed. evenings and tries to spend time with her two sons who are now living with her parents. Pray that Conny would continue to stabilize in her day to day life and in her spiritual walk. Pray that God would heal her continual sinus infection.

Prayer for:
Feb. 19 - Salzburg Church business meeting
Feb. 21 - preaching in Gmunden on being a witness from generation to generation
March13 & 14 - spending time with the Steyr church – as we speak to letting go of past hurts and then moving forward

A Valentines verse from 2 John 1:6 LB “ If we love God we will do whatever he tells us to. And he has told us from the very first to love each other.”

In His love,
Richard and Hazel
