Klassen Newsletter June 2008 | Print |
Hi everyone,

I was looking over our mail and realized that we haven't sent one of these letters out in over three weeks. When Karlene and I looked at our schedule for the month of May, we knew that it would fly by, and it sure did. School is coming to a close for the boys and they are itching for summer break. Of course, it always feels like summer here, but they want the weather without the work. I may try to tell them that because Karlene and I have to have school during the summer, they should too. I don't think that would go over very well.

A few weeks ago, we had to go to Bangkok for visa purposes. The Thai government now wanted officially certified birth certificates for all of us. This would normally not be a problem, except that Tyler was born in Haiti and his birth certificate has always had a mistake on it. We prayed and then we went, and then prayed while we were there. At first, it looked like it might be a problem. Why would the Canadian government certify a foreign document, and a faulty one at that. But the lady who was serving us was super helpful and after a twenty minute wait, she handed me the certified copies. She even gave us extras.

Although we are very thankful that we now have all the proper documents without any incident, I don't praise God because we didn't have any problems, I praise Him because I know that He is fully in control, no matter what the situation or result.

Please pray for us as we look for a house and vehicle to rent for the Toews family, who is coming to teach our kids for the next school year. Pray for the Toews family, as they still need to raise some of their financial support for the upcoming year.

Serving the One who holds the whole universe in His hands,
Kevin, Karlene, Tyler, Andrew and Jesse
