As followers of Jesus, we join in His mission. We are to be a going people. As we take bold steps of obedience, we enter into His expressed will and blessing. The nearer we are to His heart, the more "missionary" we become.
The Strategic Connection: Short Term and Long Term Mission
MBMSI is mobilizing churches through intentional discipleship in experiential mission. By coordinating the sending of short-term teams with the needs and direction of our long term teams, all our ministries directly impact our commitment to holistically plant churches that transform communities.
Mobilization distinctives:
- We mobilize regionally. We believe that short and long term teams are mobilized and supported in close relationship with one of our five Regional Mobilizers.
- We move in teams. We believe in church planting through healthy teams walking in interdependence and the gifts and fruit of the Spirit.
- We go in short and long term assignments. We believe short term mission teams should serve alongside long term holistic church planting teams.
- We serve prepared. We believe pre-assignment training and post-assignment debrief are essential to life transformation and effective mission.
