July 13-20, 2008 (7 days)

After Orientation, your daily activity will be a blend of full group and team ministry.  You will begin each day together as a full group in worship and teaching.  After lunch, your team will head out to your separate ministries across the city.

Click the Read More link for more information.
Each team will serve with a specific ministry schedule that is made of the following three categories:
  • Emerging churches:  Helping make inroads into their neighborhoods through community service, children’s and sport evangelism.
  • Partnerships with inner-city ministries, and social services:  Providing the opportunity to share Christ’s compassion among the suffering through public outreach and PAX (aka Public Acts of Christ or Acts of Kindness).
  • Public prayer and worship: Being a catalyst for our witness in urban parks throughout the downtown core.
Whether you serve in community sports outreach, children's ministries or renovate a church building, yours and the lives of others will be forever changed. We have designed your Ministry Assignments to run from Sunday to Sunday so that you will start and end with the church you will be serving alongside.  In fact, you will be placed in touch with the leader of the church prior to arriving at SOAR Montreal.  In this way, you can discuss the ministry opportunity and determine how your team can be a blessing to them.  You will learn from the ministry leaders who have dedicated their lives to serving God across Montreal.

Your Ministry Assignments will be a crash course on being obedient to God's call on your life. It will push you out of your comfort zone.  We encourage you to experience the joys and challenges of working as a team in a new way.
