Jesus' vision for mission includes Samaria.  We often overlook the needs of our neighbors in our view of world mission.  St. Jamestown, Toronto is The World Next Door.  As a gateway to Canada, it is a multinational community of families trying to get a start in our country.  Desperate for hope, they need to meet Jesus.  With Christ as our example, we will eagerly cross any social, cultural and economic barriers with the good news of God's restorative love.

MBMSI and the 614 St. Jamestown Church are planning our second Urban Mission Toronto program, a 3 day mission weekend.  We will engage God's heart for this community by staffing their community festival, running a 24-7 prayer room, visiting with new believers and living the kingdom in word and deed together. 

This is an intergenerational mission trip designed for families and small groups.  Gather your friends.  Bring your children.  Let's live the love of Jesus in The World Next Door.

Our next Urban Mission Toronto will be held in the summer of 2009.
